My intent in creating this art is to find a way to show others the magic and mystery I see in the world around me. Although I have in the past worked in traditional artistic mediums such as oils, I have found that contemporary computer tools make it possible for me to more effectively construct the precise images I see in my imagination. My art starts with an image that appears vividly in
my mind. The computer allows me to
build a detailed virtual world based on that image. I then add textures and
lighting, and finally, I take a virtual "snapshot" of the scene I've
created. As for the actual print, which I produce myself, I use the finest paper
and inks in order to translate as closely as possible my original inspiration
into the form of an artistic print. In sum, my intent is to convey something of the
energy of experience. My hope is that others will be able to look at my art, and
be filled with the same joy that I felt when I was first inspired. |
